Our mission is to manage a $500M portfolio of energy spending, with 20% of that spending related to efficiency and sustainability services by December 31st, 2028.
ABOUT US
DNE was started by two determined friends with a better way to help customers take charge of their energy. Founded in 2009, DNE has since grown to become one of the largest energy management firms with more than $250M of energy spending under management. And we’re just getting started.
We believe that making money and doing good are not mutually exclusive, but are necessarily correlated if you have a long, comprehensive outlook. Doing right by our team, customers, partners, and communities creates more business value and influences them to do the same and pay it forward. This virtuous cycle can inspire others to do the same. As that spreads, anything is possible.

Think of it as a pyramid with each important element resting on the one below it. It all starts with mental fitness, which is necessary to sustain physical health and enjoy quality time with loved ones. Then comes business, an opportunity to drive positive impact and express our unique gifts. Finally, this solid foundation gives us times and resources to pour back into the communities we care about.
Together we give back
Every year, we donate 0.5% of revenue or 5% of net income whichever is greater to our Social Impact Fund. We donate this budget in a variety of ways: food drives, LED lighting and other energy infrastructure projects for local nonprofits (food banks, women’s shelters, youth centres, animal shelters, etc.), and other infrastructure projects we complete when visiting other countries for our Annual Bonus trip.
